Why True Weight

Dry fire should feel like a loaded mag.

The problem

Empty mags train the wrong feel.

Every draw, reload and press happens with a gun that's lighter and balanced differently than the real thing. Your hands learn that feel.

The solution

Full-mag weight. Zero rounds.

The solid brass insert drops in from the top and brings your mag to loaded weight. The slide still runs without locking back, so you keep repping.

How it works

Installed in seconds. Ready to train.

No tools. No disassembly. No hassle.

  1. Insert from the topSlide the insert into your magazine through the top, the same motion as loading the first round.
  2. Train with real weightDraws, reloads and manipulations feel like a loaded mag. The nylon slider lets the slide pass, so it works with dry fire lasers.
  3. Remove anytimePull it out just as easily and your magazine is back to normal. No permanent modifications.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What magazines are compatible?

Our inserts are designed to fit almost every standard 9mm pistol magazine.

  • 9mm 10-Round: fits most 10-round 9mm magazines
  • 9mm 15-Round: fits most 15-round 9mm magazines
  • 9mm 21-Round: fits most 20+ round double-stack magazines
  • 9mm 21-Round 2011: fits most 20+ round 2011 magazines
  • AR-15 30-Round: fits standard 30-round AR-15 magazines

Compatible with most magazines from brands including Glock, SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson M&P, CZ, FN, Canik, Ruger, Kimber, Staccato and many more. Manufacturing tolerances can occasionally result in a tighter-than-normal fit. If you experience an issue, just reach out and we'll be happy to help.

Are there any magazines it won't fit?

We aren't aware of any standard 9mm pistol magazines that are incompatible. The one exception is some permanently pinned magazines: depending on how the magazine was modified, there may not be enough internal space for the insert.

Important: never force the insert into a magazine. Doing so can damage the slider.

Can I use snap caps or laser cartridges?

Yes, unlike other inserts. The inserts were designed to work with laser training cartridges, and you can stack a few snap caps on top to practice malfunction drills and unloaded starts. Repeated snap cap use may eventually wear the slider's guide rails due to friction.

What do the inserts weigh?
  • 9mm 10-Round: 4.1 oz
  • 9mm 15-Round: 6.1 oz
  • 9mm 21-Round: 8.4 oz
  • 9mm 21-Round 2011: 8.4 oz
  • AR-15 30-Round: 13.0 oz

Weight may vary ±0.1 oz due to the manufacturing process.

How do I install it? Do I need to disassemble my mags?

No disassembly or tools. If you know how to load a single round into a magazine, you already know the motion: insert the weighted insert from the top of the magazine, just like loading the first round. It takes a few seconds.

Will it damage my magazine spring or follower?

No. The insert sits on top of your existing follower and spring without any permanent modification, and the bottom edges are rounded so they won't wear your follower. Remove it any time.

Can I use them in the safe area at matches?

Yes. Snap caps and dummy rounds aren't allowed in the safe area, but the insert isn't ammunition, so you can use it there to run true-weight reloads before your stage. Always follow your match's rules.

When will my pre-order ship?

Pre-orders are estimated to ship by Dec 15. If your order includes a pre-order item, everything ships together once it's ready. Orders with only in-stock items ship right away.

What's the warranty?

Every solid brass insert is backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If your brass insert ever breaks due to a manufacturing defect or normal use, contact us and we'll make it right.

The polymer slider is a replaceable wear part (like a magazine spring or follower) and is not covered by the Lifetime Warranty. Replacement slider packs are available.

Plus a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you're not completely satisfied, return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
